چکیده
This paper presents a characterization of PA6 and the blend PA6+EPDM (60/40) by tensile tests in order to evaluate several mechanical properties for impact resistance applications. Results were found be dependend on test rate (10 mm/min, 250 mm/min 1000 mm/mm). SEM investigation point out homogenous structure. The has better value energy at break, higher speed: v=250 this characteristic break 29.7 J 76.3 J. At charcateristic 20 J, but blend, it is almost insensitive two speeds (76.3 72.4 respectively) as compared neat polymer that decreases feature when thr spee increases. lowest teste speed, values materials study are close (90.2 87.7 blend). results from pointed formulated recommended

Melt free-radical grafting of glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) onto EPDM backbone and effect of EPDM-g-GMA on the morphology and mechanical properties of PS/EPDM/PA6 ternary blends
Melt free-radical grafting reactions between ethylene-propylene-dieneterpolymer (EPDM) and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) were investigated in a batch mixer (170°C, 60rpm). Effect of dicumylperoxide (DCP) initiator and GMA functionalizing monomer concentrations was studied on the grafted EPDM characteristics. Titration results indicated an increase in the graft degree (GD) and gel content (GC) val...

15 صفحه اولCharacterization of Combinatorial Polymer Blend Composition Gradients by FTIR Microspectroscopy
A new FTIR technique was developed for characterizing thin polymer films used in combinatorial materials science. Fourier transform infrared microspectroscopy mapping technique was used to determine the composition of polymer blend gradients. Composition gradients were made from poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) and poly(D,L-lactic acid) (PDLLA) in the form of thin films (6 cm × 2 cm) deposited on IR ...
متن کاملComparison of Lastic (light Aspiration Device for in Vivo Soft Tissue Characterization) with Classic Tensile Tests
LASTIC is a device estimating in vivo soft tissue elasticity. It uses negative pressure to deform the tissue surface and captures several deformation stages to trace the behavioral curve. Using Finite Element inverse analysis and a Neo Hookean constitutive law, the tissue’s Young modulus is evaluated. This paper compares LASTIC capabilities with standard tensile tests on four samples with elast...
متن کاملInvestigation on Tensile Strength of Friction Stir Welded Joints in PP/EPDM/Clay Nanocomposites
Polymer-based nanocomposites due to their advantages such as corrosion resistance, adequate mechanical properties and low cost are widely used in modern technologies. The increasing application of these nanocomposites, and hence their welding seems unavoidable. In this paper, a novel hottool in friction stir welding process is used for butt welding nanocomposite plates of 5 mm thick containing p...
